Cows have four compartments in their stomach and chew the same food twice: first they swallow quickly, then bring the mouthful back up to chew it calmly, something a newborn calf cannot do yet and learns at around three weeks old. This calf stands in profile with its head down, eating grass, with a barn in the background. Color it white with strongly contrasted black patches, like Holstein cows, or all brown if you prefer a different dairy breed. The muzzle goes in greyish pink, the hooves in dark grey and the grass in two greens.
