A baby giraffe is born standing up... or rather, falling: its mother gives birth on her feet, so the calf drops almost two metres to the ground, and that bump helps it take its first breath. Within an hour it is already walking. At birth it is as tall as a grown person. This little giraffe stretches its neck towards the lowest branch of an acacia, its patches drawn as separate shapes. Color it in two tones: the patches in orange-brown or chestnut and the space between them in pale cream. The acacia leaves in green and the trunk in greyish brown.
