About Acorns and Chestnuts Coloring Page to Print Free

Acorns and chestnuts drop to the forest floor with a dry little thud, often heard before they're spotted among the leaves. Each one has its own shell: the acorn's is smooth with a tiny cap, while the chestnut's is covered in spines that turn soft to the touch once it opens. They scatter across the dry leaves, and some roll a bit farther if the ground slopes. Forest animals gather them up and carry them from place to place, leaving small hidden piles tucked under tree roots. As the days pass, some end up buried under more fallen leaves.
