Reindeer are the only deer whose females also grow antlers, and they keep them right through winter, exactly when the males have already shed theirs. Here is another curiosity: their eyes change color with the seasons so they can see better through the darkness of the polar winter. This page shows a reindeer standing in profile on the snow, with big branching antlers, a harness of jingling bells and pine branches on either side. Its coat calls for browns: a darker one along the back and a pale, almost beige tone on the chest and belly. The antlers work well in grayish brown, the bells in gold, and the harness in red or leather brown.
